I like Dieter's first image best—the Stonehenge-ish alignment, the equal balance between where the rider has been and where he's going with now as fulcrum.

Great fun as always—thank you Marc.
I may have missed it but didn't see any reference to Nikon on any of these pages, including the dealer ads. There are plenty of ads for Leica and Contax but no Nikon. That seems odd given that, according to this CameraQuest article, the Nikon S was produced from 1951 to 1955 and was a good seller in the U.S. Maybe the U.S. sales didn't get going until later in the production run.

My very first camera was an Ansco Lancer. With two shutter speeds, two f/stops, and scale focusing, it was a small notch above the simpler box cameras of its day. Unfortunately, it hasn't survived 30 years of storage in a damp basement, though I did get another one recently and hope to shoot a little with it at some point.
Here are some 127 pictures I made with it during junior high years.

Uniroyal Plant, Detroit, 1969, as seen from Belle Isle
The plant was closed in 1980, purchased by the city in 1981, and razed in 1985. Though various plans have been floated for redevelopment of this riverside property, environmental contamination resulting from over 100 years as an industrial site has been a stumbling block.

I've been sorting, culling, and sometimes scanning old film. Trying to get my life a little better organized, which may be hopeless.
This is the Brant Point light on Nantucket back in 1983. Calumet Gowland Pocket View Camera and 90mm f/8 Wide Field Caltar lens on 4x5 Ektachrome 64 Professional film, 1/8 sec. @ f/38.
A contemporaneous note says I spent about an hour fooling around with the camera movements and then waiting for a boat to come along. Meanwhile my wife waited sitting on a log, reading, in the rain.

I agree with Rodeo Joe: the 200mm f/4 AIS that I have is excellent. You could read Bjørn Rørslett's review of it here.
