Since 1987 I have been using Canon EOS 650 and 620 (not sure about the names in the US). In February 2005 I bought my first digital camera a Canon PowerShot Pro 1. I bought the Pro 1 because I?ve heard that digital cameras are sensitive to dust and I didn?t want to change lenses and get duststains on my photos. But, in December 2006 a friend bought a Sony Alpha 100 and wanted me to test it. At that moment I knew that I also want a DSLR. When I told him that I just have to have a DSLR too, he suggested me to buy an Alpha 100. But, to me the Sony felt too "toyish" and have been a Canon user I looked at the Canon 400 (probably Rebel "something" in the US)....but to my suprise that Canon also felt and looked too "toyish" . Since I knew that I have to buy a complete new camera equipment I might as well try something totally different. So, I bought the Pentax K10D....and I haven?t regret it for one second. One thing that I really like about the camera is the TAV setting. What a great invention. I have found myself using it consantly. Now, I just want Pentax to introduce there next one because I want to have two cameras and basically it should be better than the K10D........
People around me....-How could you ever buy a Pentax ? Use it for a while , and come back to Canon
