1.
Today (saturday) I got some confirmation to my previous text.... Took some pictures to be able to compare SR on or SR off.... The camera was set to 1/50 (f8) and the lens in this case to 28mm... Viewing those two pictures at the same time on my monitor clearly showed that with the SR off the picture was blurrier.....
So, once again.....This particular Sigma lens might actually work correctly when your K-3 has firmware 1,11........well, mine actually seems to do that.

 2.
Downloaded the latest version of the PhotoMe...... This software hadn't this particular info at all to give from pictures taken at 17mm with either of my cameras....K-5 and K-3 PE...
So as for now I just did a very very simple test.... using my K-3 and the lens at 17mm with shutter at 1/15...
With simple I mean that I only used the third step with the on/off lever on the camera.
Closing in and comparing pictures gave actually this result...SR on gave less "blurry" picture....
But as I wrote this was a very very simple test... I do understand that I have to take real pictues for comparing....
I do wonder though if the firmware in camera has to do anything with this problem...
My K-3 PE have firmware 1,11...........

 3.
Today, thursday, I got an answer from the swedish importer who wrote that they had contacted Sigma in Japan and they said that there is an update for my flash that makes it work properly with the Pentax K-3.
For 300 Swekrona (about $42) which also includes the return the importer will update the software...... To me 300 Swekrona is very fair in price so that flash is on it's way.

Antoni...... Thanks for your info......

 4.
John and Antoni......
My first guess when the flash didn't work was that it's probably something with the software/firmware.....the flash simply being too old for the K-3...
I have today (tuesday) contacted the swedish importer of Sigma flashes via email and expecting some kind of answer tomorrow....

Andrew.....
The answer to your question is.... Yes, even with the built-in flash
....and no the redeye-reduction wasn't on....I really checked to be sure..... please read the link.....
5.
Back in time when I bought my K10 I also bought the Sigma EF-500 DG Super flash and it has been working without any problems since...even with my K-5 which I bought about 4 years ago....Recently I bought the K-3 Prestige Edition which have the firmware 1,11......which made me think that most problems from the original K-3 has been solved by now.....but, hell no.....to my disappointment there seems to still be a "huge" delay when I use the flash, internal or external, there is a delay/lag between the moment I press the button and the moment the effectively take the photo....felt very annoying when I used the flash for the first time......AND, I also have a problem when using the external flash not always "working".....a problem that never excisted while using the flash on my K10 and K-5.. I have noticed that sometimes I simply have to "restart" either the flash or the camera after each shoot taken with the flash....then I have a working flash for each single picture.
Anyone who have experienced this too.....and have done what ????

 6.
Have been using the K-5 since September 2010 with the 16-45 lens...but just ahead of my summer holiday this year I bought the Sigma 17-70 C lens......and that pair have been working without any problems.....At the same time I have been looking at the K-3 for a longer time of period and finally when "my dealer" got the K-3 Prestige Edition in stock I bought my K-3....

Picked it up this friday and set the camera adjustments to my likings so I can go out on saturday (yesterday) to be able to take my first pictures with my new K-3 Prestige E.....

The first thing that I noticed was that in my opinion this Sigma 17-70 C lens on this K-3 is slower in auto focus than with the K-5...
The focus system ain't very fast in my mind.............might anyone else have the same opinion that I have......

I shoot in DNG-RAW....... and wonder if anyone who have been having the K-3 for longer time than I...could give me some hints to how to adjust the camera for "best" results........especially I want to know how other K-3 RAW-shooters have adjusted the niose reduction settings....
The "original" Prestige Edition strap is so wrong too..........black all the way.....don't use it instead I took the strap from my old K-10 which at least says PENTAX in a different colour......I really want people from distace to see that I'm a Pentax user....

 7.
Hi Charles!

I did a test....without a picture in the workspace it's not possible to change the color...
BUT, when the workspace includes a picture it's possible to change the color...

If I don't remember wrong....in E9 it was possible to change the color without a picture in the workspace.....that's why I have been trying to do the color change without any picture in the workspace.....

 8.
February 14th I asked some questions about Elements 12.....because then I was still using the E9....
But, since last friday I'm using the Elements 12....... But I still have to ask one more question...

How do I change my workspace into being black ?????

In E9 I simply right clicked on the workspace and I got 3 options of colors.... I tryed this on E12 but it doesn't work that way........on my computer anyway. Can't simply find anything about this and how to do the change....

After installing the E12 on my computer the Camera Raw didn't work at all and I had problems closing down the program.... But after updating E12 it seems to work correctly now.....

(My E12 is a DVD not the downloaded version)

 9.
...Dan...
Sometimes when I'm "working" with something on my computer it sometimes starts to "sway" and in the end the computer weirdly solidifies to a total stop....At that moment the hard drive lamp is flashing very quickly and when the flashing ends...everything goes back to "normal".... I guess that something in Windows is probably being updated....This, my W7 Pro has done ever since the computer was new.....so I honestly don't think the E12 should be a problem because I beleive that when I tested the E12 my computer probably did something again that made the E12 to "sway" unfortunatly that happend just that time when I was test driving E12.....

I want the E12 because I shoot pictures in DNG (Pentax K-5) and the Camera Raw is better and newer than in my E9....BUT, I want darker colors in the back ground when I'm working with pictures....

 10.
At the moment I'm using E9 and it does a good work for me.....but it feels that I probably should renew my Elements....
First... I did download a trial version BUT when I started to us it on my computer the whole thing started to "sway" everytime I did something with the mouse pointer.... (Note: my computer is far better than what Adobe recomend in software for E12)....so, I didn't do much with the E12.....just took it out of my computer.
Thats why I have one question for anyone that currently are using the E12....
By looking at my attached picture which shows the color that I want on my work space and tool space...and of course what tools I ONLY want to be shown as well...
Anyone using E12, is it possible to set the E12 to my specificaitions ???? as shown on my attached picture.

 11.
Andrew.....you hit the nail for me....and my eager and reason for wishing Pentax/Ricoh for an updated version of that roadmap. Because I think by now they should know even more about future lenses...

And, you are also correct about the latest roadmap.....they actually suggested as you wrote "there may be something like a DA* 16-85" ...but it indicated the release "during 2013 or later".....Personally I want it now and not later....

Hin.... As usual.....excellent pictures

 12.
I would really like for Pentax/Ricoh to give "us" an updated version of the road map for their upcoming lenses....because I'm really craving for something like a 16-85 WR lens......I mean, should I wait yet another year for that kind of lens or simply look at the latest version of Sigma's 17-70 ("Contemporary") F2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM.... which isn't a WR lens but might still be good enough for me for now....As I understand, this latest version should be available in late february.

Anyone have anything to say about the "old to be" Sigma 17-70 F2.8-4 lens ?????
