  1. This is not an attempt at capturing anything more than a slice of life. I prefer B&W, most of the time, and am not too concerned about technical details. Is this an original idea? Of course not. It’s just an example of a photographer wandering the streets of Spanish Harlem trying to tell a story.

    Thanks to both of you. The National Geographic cover was shot by Steve McCurry, around 1972 I think. My shot was taken around 1963, before color film was invented :-). The data says taken with a Fuji, but that’s the camera I used to scan negative, originally shot with a Pentax, 105mm lens, and Tri-X.
