  1. Thanks. I was looking for a good composition all evening. I could not find one so I returned home. On the way home I saw this lady alone, no people in the background and I took the shot.

  2. Thanks guys for your comments and suggestions.

It was really worth it spending almost 2 hours in that weather. It will probably be the last heavy snow this year so I couldn't miss it :)

  3. Thank you. I woke up early so I could catch the sunrise which I did.

But it was all foggy and cloudy so the sunrise photos are not that great. So I was returning back using taking a longer route and I ended up in this beautiful park.

So I guess you lose some you win some :)

Thank you both for the comments.

    Thank you.

This was by mistake. More too often the L lens is sending information to the body that it has focused, but it focuses somewhere at 69cm, which is both strange and frustrating. Initially when I saw the photo on camera display I wanted to deleted, but I don't usually delete anything from the card with the camera.

So when I got home, I was decided to erase this "mistake" but I started instead playing with it, and I really liked the final version. I think I will try some more "mistakes" like this one. It turns out quite nice :)

    Thank you for your comments.

Wide angle lens gives me new options. I tried the same photo with 35mm but it's just not the same. Wide lens gives depth to this photo.

  4. Hi Alex,

It is in Kathmandu (Nepal) at Monkey Temple (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swayambhunath).

There is a stone wall near the road about 2.5meters height. I had only the wide lens (tokina 11-16mm) and I set the zoom at 16 and extended my arm as much as possible.

For me it was too far away. For him, I was too close :D . He was trying to intimidate me by faking an attack.

While I was on foot and I kept my ground, he didn't actually attack. But after this photo I got back into the bus which was parked close to the wall. From the window on the other hand, I wasn't so confident that he would not scrach my hand when I extended the arm, so most of photos taken from bus are blur from my uncontrolled retreat of my arm at his threats :))
