1. Thank you Robin. You make some practical points and since I do own and enjoy the 55mm 1.8 adding the 35mm 2.8 which I have used extensively makes since since street is my favorite style of shooting.
 2. I have owned a Sony A7ll for 5 years and love the images it produces with zeiss /sony 55mm 1.8 and Batis 85 mm 1.8. Which I own. I have used the Sony/zeiss 35mm 2.8 and it's very sharp and Loxia 35mm 2. (rented both of them) I bought the Fuji 100F a year ago and I like it ( 35mm fov) for it's convenience but I am still considering selling it to purchase the loxia 35mm 2. Just trying to get some thoughts that would convince me to keep it as my 35mm option or get the Loxia. 35mm 2. Such tough decisions. Street photography is my main passion. Please share your thoughts.

 4. Thanks for the responses gentlemen. Had 35mm 2.8 but sold even though very sharp and small it has no unique IQ to me compared to Loxia 35mm2 As far as FF vs crop sensors no doubt in my mind each are superior to the other in certain aspects that's why I don't mind owning both types.. But since I have $1300 to spend on either the Loxia 35mm2 which I've rented and love or the Fuji X100F.(If I could afford the RXlRII or Leca Q) I never would have posted the original question (lol) I'm left to grapple with my 1st world problem. :) Thanks!
 5.
Looking at purchasing a 35mm for my kit I am contemplating getting Loxia 35mm2 for my A7ll (street and event photography) however I can get a used RX 1 at the same price point. As I'm considering the pros and cons I would like to hear everyones thoughts on this subject. I love the IQ of the 35mm 1.4ZA but size is a deterrent for me. Thanks in advance!

 6.
Thank you for your thoughts. It's definitely a Fuji XT1 or XT10 to replace my A6000, I still am keeping my A7ll and 55mm 1.8 cause of it being full frame. Now the decision is to whether purchase the Batis 85mm 1.8 which Ive rented many times or the Fuji 56mm 1.2 for the XT body and get the 85mm perspective. Anyone want to jump on that 1st world problem?

 7.
i agree Don. I did not have a problem with A6000 IQ. After looking at XT cameras and their lens I liked the IQ better than on my A6000 unless I was using the Zeiss 55mm 1.8,Loxia 35mm 2 all FE lens. I guess Fuji's APSC lens ( 23mm / 35mm / 56mm )are superior in my eyes compared t Sony APSC offerings.

 8.
I just sold my A6000 which I always used my Sony FE lens on (I have A7ll also) The A6000 was my primary street photography lens with (28mm 2) but I am beginning to drool over the XT1 and a 23mm or 35mm setup for street photography.
The A6300 was my original choice but 4k video means very little to me.
Since street photography is my main usage what thoughts do any of you have on this 1st world dilemma A6300 0r XT1?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

 9.
Ok here is my the situation. I have used the Nikon 85mm 1.8G numerous times and generally at 1.8 cause that's where I mainly shoot using the Fotodiox pro adapter and love the IQ. Mostly i'm doing portraits and street photography.I am comfortable using the A7II focus peaking and what I have discovered I simply slow my shooting process and manual works for me.
I am in position to get the Batis 85mm 1.8 whenever they become available but I am wondering is the $1200 vs. $500.00 dollar price worth the autofocus capability.
Besides AF is there anything else I should consider in this decision?
Thank you in advance for your thoughts!

 10.
I was looking at adding another A7II to my wedding kit which now consist of A6000 and the 28mm F2, Loxia 35mm F2, 55mm 1.8 and the Batis 85mm 1.8 when available.
Rather than adding second A7II would the A7R II with it's reported improvements be a better choice? Why or Why not?
After reading the many reviews I see many pluses and a few minuses but I would like to hear thoughts from the forum. I also do street photography and portraiture.

 11. And I will use it on the A7II when needed or wanted that's why I hesitate to buy 28mm since its 42mm on A 6000.
 12. Thanks Andy. I have the loxia 35mmF2, I want the 24mm 1.8 for my A6000 for street photography.
 13.
When this lens is used in aps-c crop mode on the A7II I understand it works but with resolution reduced. Does anyone know what the resolution would be down from 24 to what. I've read where on A7R its 36 to 16.
I like this lens a lot on my A6000 but if on A7II if resolution is reduced below 10 then it's probably doesn't fit into my kit.
Thanks for any input!

 14.
Well guys Zeiss Batis 85mm 1.8 solved my problem.(lol)

 15.
Hi Sebastian. you have to decide is it worth it for you. I would recommend you rent A7II and try it at your events first before selling all your Nikon gear.I really loved my Nikon setup it was the size that I didnt like any longer (lol)
It was a 2 year process of educating myself and using Sony mirrorless cameras before I made my move to Sony A7II and Native Sony Zeiss lens. I'm very satisfied for what my shooting style is and would never go back to dslr's again.
Hope this helps.

 16.
Its the size of these along with the IQ that's so impressive to me. With all do respect I didn't sale all my Nikon FX gear to go back to dslr size lens (ie.. Sony Zeiss 35mm 1.4) so Zeiss I salute you!

 17.
Well since already own the Sigma 85mm 1.4 for Nikon which metabone adapter would I need to work on the A7II. MF adapter would be sufficient since nothing's moving very fast in my world.

 18.
I was thinking about the 90mm 2.8 to replace my 85mm 1.4 sigma as my portrait lens but I really don't want to add large lens to my mirrorless setup. I was thinking of using Nikon 85mm 1.8 G lens with a metabones adapter instead and sale my Sigma 85mm 1.4.
I mainly do street photography and events so if I do 35mm 2.8/55mm 1.8 and the Nikon 85mm 1.8g my system would be relatively still small in size.
I look at the 35mm 1.4fe and 90mm 2.8fe and all I see is DSLR lens size wise and it's the size factor that made me decide to sell all my Nikon full frame gear and I don't want to compromise. Any thoughts/ suggestions.
I

 19.
Trying to decide between the 2 lens above. The IQ I see on various sites shows that the 35mm is very sharp. However the few images I have ssen of the 28mm 2 shows slightly better bokeh.
I'm leaning towards the 28mm for the little extra width and the 2.0 aperture. Just wondering if there is anything i'm overlooking since my goal is to use 3 primes for events/weddings 55mm 1.8 and 90mm 2.8 being the others. I will rent any other lens if necessary but when not doing weddings these 3 primes are my street and vacation choices. Thank you for any insight you might share.

 20.
Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f/1.4 Wide Angle Leica M Mount Lens - Black

Would I need an adapter for the A7II? If so which is recommended?

 21.
From my research it appears the 35mm 1.4 is gonna be awesome. If I go for that one I would not buy 28/2.0 or 35mm/2.8.
Street photography and wedding/Events are main areas of photography so I will be patient and see whats works best for my style. The size of the 1.4 is my only concern.
I love the small factor of the others.
Thanks for your input.

 22.
! was thinking of adding the 28mm 2 and 35mm 2.8 but wondering if having 16-35FE4 makes it unnecessary to have both?
Also if purchasing the 35mm 1.4 FE is better than having the 28/2 and 35/2.8 IQ wise?

 23.
Makes sense. I prefer primes but do not want to use any adapters. I will have to wait on 135FE I guess but I can rent 70-200FE when tele zoom is needed until then. So 2 A7's makes sense.
