<p>I am with Jeff in this case. You may try both BW and colours and choose what is best for you. I do fantasy. I prefer more the colours because it helps me in fantasy works, I feel more free. I like playing with colours in my photos and my paintings so usually my choise is colours. But you may do fantasy with BW if you like, it would just be different fantasy.</p>

There is no right/wrong in art. Photography is art. Art is freedom. We may use traditional or modern software techniques to process our photos. Photography may also be combined with other arts (paintings for example), nothing wrong with this.</p>

I would wait until I could buy a prime L lens. The zoom is very nice for "all around lens" but for "outstanding quality for portraits" it depends what you consider as outstanding. This is just my opinion.</p>

<p>It would be nice in every formal published test to be included the serial number of the lens tested. I would be even nicer to test more than one copy of the same lens under the same conditions.<br>
