The composition here is terrific Hanh, and from what I can tell, the light looks fantastic as well. There are some pretty serious problems with the processing. The two that are of most concern are the blown out sky, and the heavy blue cast in the water and the upper left and mountain shadows. If you have the original still, and better yet, have some other shots of the same sequence with some detail in the white portions of the sky, you might try going back and addressing some of these issues. The image definitely looks like it is worth the effort. You could try some type of blend for detail in the sky, and try and correct the color cast. I'd love to see this image with some of these suggestions applied. Chip

Ice cracks shot over Abraham Lake at sunrise, Kootenay Plains, Alberta.
Thanks for any critiques/ratings, or comments. Chip

Nice image. Very dynamic! Balance-wise, my eye wants to see just a bit more space on the right.

Thanks guys!!
Gladys-Thanks for the honest opinion on this. I don't see the cyan on my end, or in the final print.

Open water is hard during winter in the Canadian Rockies, so I was
pretty happy to come across this partially frozen area in Kananaskis
Country. The water was partially open due to some hot springs
running, so I was able to capture this image at sunrise. Thanks for
looking! Chip

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the comments.
Oh, and thanks for the low score again. Show your face. If you don't back up your negative rating, what you are doing means nothing.

Sorry for the rant guys-for some reason this just really gets me. And then, they go and change it, making it worse! Now I have absolutely no idea what ratings anyone is giving and why!

Thanks very much for the comments! I can't win on this site. I'll have about a 6.6 or so average, and all of a sudden someone comes along and gives out a 3 or 4 because it feels good and bumps my average down a whole number or more. Who could possibly think this rating system is beneficial to anyone, especially us photographers. These people are spineless, and never give comments as to why they think this is a 3. Does this feel good? I just can't understand the personal benefit here. Who thinks this rating system is good? Maybe I am missing something here. I'm probably going to take this down if this trend continues. Sorry for the post/delete. I would never consider a paid account on this site until they fix the rating system, but have paid accounts on all the other sites I frequent.

Thanks guys.
RE-I'm not quite sure I understand your comment. Are you saying that you think this image isn't real? I assure you it is very real. Maybe I misunderstood your comment (because you do wish me big success?) I hope so. Sorry if I did. For future reference, none of my images are artificial, no elements have been added, skies pasted, etc. In fact, I don't even know how to do that.

Nice work! Very crisp details, and nicely exposed and processed.
Very unique colors.

This is awesome. So much power. The windblown snow really adds to the image.

Hey Federico!
You've been to some amazing places. Far from Mexico City.
You have to come visit the Palouse!
Cheers from the USA.

This pond caught my eye in Jasper Ntl. Park, and I just had to stop
and photograph for quite some time (stopped by twice even). Comments
are very welcome. Thanks for looking. Chip

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the comments on this!
Paul-I blended 3 exposures by hand in PS to get the detail in the rocks and the detail in the sky. I used a technique incorporating Tony Kuypers Luminosity Masks that I recently developed, and am quite happy with it. Thanks again! Chip

be able to showcase it with these cloud reflections. Comments are
