  1. I did my search but found different development times. I understood

it is better to use Microphen undiluted (1+0).

Could you help me with some quick answers? The negs will be scanned

at 4000 dpi. Temperature of the water will be around 20-23 degrees

Celsius. Film TX (new Tri-X) was used at 1600 ASA.

Which time/agitation should I use? Is it advisable to use Microphen

as stand developer to enhance the compensating effect?

Thanks a lot for a quick reply! And a Happy New Year!

  2. Thank you, Preston, for the link. Yes I was in India a couple of times before. I was just wondering whether another forum member was as the festival before, and what is the best way to travel from Calcutta to the site, best photo locations on the island, etc. Anyway, I appreciate a lot the link you sent me. Sounds interesting, doesn't it?
  3. Hello fellow travel photogs. I am planning a trip to the Sagar Mela

festival in India, on 12 - 14 January 2004, on Sagar island approx.

150 km south of Calcutta. I would appreciate any advice you can

give, incl. how to get there. I am planning to do B&W, with two

Leica M and 35 and 90mm to keep things simple. Thank you all very

    much in advance!

  4. Two old cameras came into my posession through a friend who

inherited the two from an unfortunately diseased elderly family

    member:

Contax Rangefinder, Serial No. F 41080

with a Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 1:2 f=5 cm, Serial No. 1862617 and a

brown leather eveready case, black leather lens cup.

Conditon: Looks nice, but shutter won't release (was laying for over

20 years in a bedroom drawer), light meter not working. Lens has

micro cleaning scratches on the front.

    Robot Rangefinder, Serial No. B 43 908-5

with a Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 1:2 f=4 cm with a brown leather

eveready case, and the two film spools. Lens has minor cleaning

    scratches on the front.

    Condition:

Nice condition, everything seems to work, incl. motor, viewfinder

    bright and clear.

Can anyone of you help me to establish the production date, and the

    approximate value of these cameras?

Thank you very much in advance for any help!

  5. I am finally ready to bath my TriX in Rodinal. I have a few

    questions:

    1. What is the minimum quantity of Rodinal, regardless the dilution,

    per 35mm film)?

    2. What is the best combination of film rating /I prefer 200 ASA)

and dilution (1:25/1:50/1:100) for finest grain/best tonality/ best

    sharpness?

    3. Temperature and agitation for point 2.?

Thank you all inadvance for your help!
