Brad,
I love the peaceful, rocking, smooth and wavy lines the water in this image makes. The duck's textured feathers are in contrast to the glass-like water. The waves cause the viewer's eyes to dance all around the image giving the sense of movement in the water.
Thank you for sharing!

Such an interesting photo!! I love the grid lines that section off the image. The perspective and colours - a bit cool, a bit yellow, a bit grey - all beautiful! Then I noticed the far background with the water and opposite shore... it is captivating and intriguing - very nice!!

Congratulations! This is a very beautiful image. The stark contrast between the colourful leaves and the silhouette of the trees creates a mood that celebrates the beauty of Fall but at the same time reminds us of the sad cold winter ahead.

Tim, I agree that the separation of the figure on the left gives the image more depth as it provides a reference point for the foreground against the background. I wanted to see the intense contrast and so darkened it slightly. The adjacent photo has not been altered at all and you can see more separation. I really appreciate your comment HK

This is a great idea... Imagine if you did the same with animals... How did you do this? HK

I just happened on this photo and wanted to say how unusual I find the angel. She seems almost real in that her hair has a look as if the wind is blowing strands, her elbows look as if she was crawling on the ground, and her wings have lost their purity. She is quite sad and lonely but very beautiful. HK

Light and shadow...

A storm had just passed and on one side it had stopped raining. On the other it was clearing and there was a very unusual light in the sky. It would have been right to stop but it's not always possible. The reflection in the left upper side might have been cropped out but I chose to keep it to maintain the balance of the composition which, to me looks better with it rather than without. Still, I like the surreal quality the blur and grey sky have given this image. It's not perfect but it's what I got from the moment. I appreciate your comments and the time you took leave them. HK

I like this one. They took a perfect pose! I like the camera angle - almost level with the water, picking up their orange feet in the reflection!
Thank you for visiting my site and commenting on my photo! Kind regards, HK

It's amazing how we happen to find a picture just by chance!! I was just browsing around from the photo tags in sunsets and found this beautiful photo!! It is so much like something one wound see painted by the Canadian Group of Seven artists. What a warm orange light in contrast to the cold white and blue! Nice!! HK

I love the yellow/orange light in the background and the contrasting dark trunks. Reminds me of dancing figures. Really nice!!

This one is striking because of all the geometric shapes that emerge and I love the that it's in black and white, bringing out the shapes!!
