  1. I like the concept, but....I think the photo would be a bit more pleasing to view if the sun were not centered in the frame (right to left) and there was a bit more detail in the foreground. Perhaps you could have used a graduated ND filter to help ease the huge contrast and brought out the foreground.

    Keep shooting! Good luck!

Wow! What a look! Wouldn't want to face him in a match! Love the expression. The background is a bit distracting. Perhaps you could have opened up some to allow the eye to focus more specifically on the young man's face. Otherwise, a great capyure!
  2. Love the expression of this cowboy! Nice light on his face. The background is a bit distracting. Opening up a bit the fencing and people behind may have become more blurred leaving the eye to focus soley on Bo...

Otherwise, a fun photo to look at...a cowboy proud of his horse! BTW...are those Wranglers?

  3. I've been to Star many times. You've captured the essence of the area well. I would have liked to see you move your location a bit to the left (and around to the side of the building) to include more of those interesting pea rows (on an slight angle.) This would have probably eliminated the concrete pad in the foreground and enhanced the feeling of the "lonely" barn.

    I like it!

Great shot! Really like it. Comment: Is it possible to lighten the shot just a bit to make the top of the saguaro "pop" ou from the dark sky?

Otherwise, very iconic shot. Keep shooting!

    Looks like summertime fun!

Comments: Fence is distracting. Open lens to reduce DOF.

Perhaps alter your perspective to the right which places the child in front of the bushes behind so she would be more the focal point of the photo. Really like the B&W for this instead of color! Good work. Keep shooting!

Much better photograph than the Sweetwater photo. Strong vertical element is straight. May have been slightly better bringing the frame down just a bit to pick up more of the ground (which would have given a bit more "depth" to the photo) and removing some of the sky above.

    Overall, very nice!

    Good luck!

I like the colors. However, I am distracted by the un-level horizon and "leaning" wind-mills. In any photo where there is a horizon line or strong vertical lines it is imperative to keep those elements straight. Otherwise, the viewer feels as if they are falling out of the picture.

Appears to me this is taken in Sweetwater County, Wyoming. If so, and you have the opportunity, try the shot again and pay close attention to the horizontal and vertical lines. Use a tripod and simple bubble level to match the horizon. It doesn't have to be perfect but it will be much more pleasing to the viewer.

    Good luck and keep shooting!

  5. Excellent composition. IMO exceptional use of light. Detail is terrific. Small distraction caused by two distant swimmers...if I place my fingers over the distractions, I believe this is one of the best photos I have seen.

    Great work!

Really like the color and feeling of texture, as well and her facial expression....one comment... due to the way her legs are folded under her it makes her legs appear to be disproportinally large..

    Good work!
