  1. I've uploaded my first four images ever to my portfolio! I don't have access to mount ceiling flashes, and the range of my ancient (but trusty) Osram Studio VM250 being camera-mounted means variable exposure with distance. But there's a style issue at work there, too. I find my color images remind my of my boyhood traipsing around with my sports-photographer father. His football, basketball, volleyball, etc. players in bright black-and-white, against an infinitely deep black background...somehow, in my mind, that's what sports photographs are "supposed" to look like.<div>00QtpY-71879584.jpg.c896e2455d1c572c06084e2db0828017.jpg</div>
  2. Having started with one of my father's retired Heiland Pentax H3's, I bought my first K1000 only after it died. I now own two identical sets with the K1000 body, a 60-300 zoom, and a 28-85 zoom (although different flash units). A variety of other lenses, gathered over the years before and after, all work equally well on my K100D, but in teaching my children to shoot, having identical set-ups has been a great help. Probably going to be helping out with the local 4-H Photography Club next year with some of the same teaching techniques. Even with the K100D, I prefer to let my own brain do the calculations most of the time.
