Great image and to me very original. Has anyone else noticed the faces in the two jars. Preserved faces good idea.

I agree with all the comments. Way to much in the picture! I don't know what I was thinking...

Relaxed and well fed! Last year a university student felt she had
bonded with this wolf pack..... she was wrong they had her for
dinner.

Thank you for the nice ratings. I would have loved to capture these two alone together but the location was ristricted and correct if I had tried to get the posed I would have been eaten.
I shot the female alone have a look in the folder for a solo shot of her and the male.

An Alpha Female Left and Male Right Shot from a blind in Haliburton.

I was shooting a soccer game and was panning a particularily good
player and found a rather dejected opposing team member watching in
frustration.

I like this shot you captured the look. It makes me want to reach down and throw the ball.

It seems like you were to close. I recently had the chance to shoot some firworks and did a little home work on Kodaks site. They recommended a burst of shots starting as the firework reaches its highest point. I tried this and found that a 5 frame burst works well. Any time I tried to catch the explosion with one shot my timming seemed to be off. Your shutter speed seems spot on and the aperature seems good. I shot from farther back and used a tripod with a 20 - 35 lense this seemed to work well for me. Do you have any other shots we could see.

First of all the dog is not as sharp as it could be now that I got the only nitpic for me out of the way I love the shot the colours and most of all the fact that the dog is wanting something from the viewer. I am surprised that the Jack Russel sat still long enough for this picture :-).

This was shot for a local paper at a talent show. I concentrated on
the face to catch the emotion of the performer. The lighting was
from a couple of spots and I could only work with avalable light.

Hi I havent tried the card and bulb trick but experimenting I found that 1/3 of a second and
f8 or f 6.3 works well ( on a tripod of course ). I tried at first to anticipate the burst but gave up and and just pulled the cable release before the burst and ran 3 to 4 frames through the explosions. This seemed to work rather well. This one does look better when viewed bigger. ( As most do :-)

I have not tried fireworks yet so here is my first real attempt at
it. I tried last year with film but the results were pitifull.

Shooting flowers is new to me. My wife would like some pictures to
hang and of course I said I would take some. I normaly shoot people
so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Great shot. The look of concentration and expression make the shot. I cropped out ( scroolled down to block ) the net tape out and I think it looks much better. I find the blurred tape distracting from the main focus of the picture. It keeps pulling my eyse down.

Most of the group was taking straight on shots. I saw the grouping
from a different angle.

What could I do to improve this if anything?
-
Well done. Was this in the wild?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
