I can't tell you how much I like this because I don't know why I like this so much! I'm transfixed, I can't peel myself away from this image. Incredible! Other possible names: Shielded From the Land of Make Believe, The Long Road, I could go on, and on, but this image really needs no words. Thanks for sharing this. Congratulations on a once in a lifetime shot!

Great composition, and subtle colors!

I like this, but the copyright is very distracing at makes the photo hard to enjoy as my eye is pulled down to it. I also wonder what it would look like with the tree on the right side top. Anyway nice job waiting for the right time.

Colton, having seen your portfolio, I'm honored by your comment, thankyou.
Paolo, wow, your comment means alot to me. Thankyou.
This is a national bird sanctuary close to my house. Every year this part of the field blooms with these black-eyed susans, and I was determined to get a picture of it with the fog/rain. To my delight these three were grazing around, and I could only hope that they would stick around long enough for me to get closer and set up my tripod. They took notice but seemed more curious than afraid. I finished setting up, looked at them, they at me, and hit the remote release. I went home feeling proud and lucky.

Look at those eyes, nice. Male Northern Harrier, the one on the fence post is a female.

Thank you all for taking the time to look and comment. This image was taken in the Sundown Wilderness Area in the Catskills. It was the first snow of the year, late fall, and I was blown away when I came upon this seen. I tried to capture the raw beauty there, and I'm encouraged after reading your comments that I did, at least partially. Thankyou.
