  1. A few of the deer that hang out in my yard.
  2. In the interest of clarity, I was not banned. I simply moved on. While cleaning out bookmarks on a browser that I seldom use, I stumbled upon this link and was surprised to find it still active. Happy to see that despite the owners pimping out what's left of the site to flog their crappy courses while letting the place fall into ruin, some of you have remained and carry on carrying on.
  3. " The walls are so thin. The nieghbours listen in. Keep the noise down......."
  4. False morel or Saddleback (Gyromitra infula)
  5. Sunset illuminating the ash cloud from the eruption of Taal volcano in the Philippines, back in Feb. The only time in my lifetime that I've been that close to an erupting volcano.
  6. Hemlock Reishi (Ganoderma tsugae)
  7. Stargazer snake eel buried in the sand.
  8. As promised last week, this is the blue phase of ribbon eel. All of the blue coloured eels are male.
  9. The temperature was -2 celsius with snow still on the ground this week but that did not deter this garter snake from coming out of hibernation.
  10. Ribbon eels are a species of moray eel. When they are young they are black, as they become adult they turn blue. All adults are originally blue and all are male. At some point some of the blue males change sex to become female. At that point they turn from blue to yellow. After reproducing the yellow females die. Next monday I'll try to remember and post a blue adult.
