The contrast in their expressions is interesting, but you were somewhat heavy-handed on the processing. The "burning" is overdone and looks very unnatural, specially around the boy's face and arms. Bring back the shadows, there is nothing to hide!

Nice pic, but it's not really natural. The boundaries between digital art and photography are getting thinner and thinner and most people don't seem to notice...
