If it helps any, here's a frame of tmax I scanned with mine, including 100% crops. This was using auto focus, light sharpening in photoshop.

That lens should have no problem with any Pentax body. The only thing to watch out for with old Pentax lenses and new bodies is you'll lose some automation if using a pre-A series lens. I can't seem to find any info on that lens specifically, but if it fits on your current body, it'll fit on a Pentax DSLR.
