This was taken on a sailing tour of lake Erie in Marblehead, OH. Captain Jim requested a good photo for his website of him at the wheel of his boat. This was manually merged from two exposures to capture the dynamic range, but due to movement it was a difficult task to merge. I think the results are acceptable, especially for web viewing. Any suggestions or opinions are much welcomed.

I believe it was 1600 at f3.5 on my 10-22mm lens. Not the best lens in the world for such shots, haha. I agree that the contrast does look a bit high. At the time I processed the image, I didnt have my monitor calibrated and most of my pictures were a bit dark as a result of it. I may rework this image when I get a chance to see if I can improve it any. Thanks for the comment. I appreciate any critiques that I can get.

Just beautiful! I love the vivid colors. It looks like a scene right out of a movie.

Nicely captured!

A very beautiful sunset captured here, and the placement of the man is perfect. I love how the chute frames the sun a little. I would love to have such of myself to remember such an event by. Nicely captured!

Amazing! I absolutely love this shot.

This is a great shot! I love the bright vivid colors a lot.

I like the isolation of the frame here. You dont get much of a sense of the scale, which is kind of cool because it makes you wonder what exactly you are looking at. The color is very nice as well.

Thanks Kris, I am always very happy to receive a critique, it is always so helpful yet so many people seem afraid to offer one. :P I did use a polarizer and that is the reason for the dark sky. I actually have not calibrated my monitor and people have been telling me lately that my shots are looking dark. I suspect I may need to adjust it very soon as it seems to be getting worse. Ill also keep in mind to boost the saturation more in the future. My screen shows very vivid colors compared to most. Anyway, thank you so much for your input, it is very much appreciated! This will give me a few things to improve on this shot.

A nice start to a warm morning in Bristol. A man installing a
telecommunications system from a bucket truck up in the hills of TN.
Critiques appreciated!
