I believe the auto with the boat is a 1954 Oldsmobile based on the trim from the rear side window to the rear of the car as well as the windshield design. Pictures of Pontiacs don't show the wrap-around windshield until 1955.<br>

<p>If F stop is Focal Length divided by aperature diameter, then simply measure the opening and multiply by 6.3 to get the focal length.</p>

<p>My mid-1950's Hexacon (from Peerless Camera in New York City) had that nice angled shutter release. You could push it slowly and carefully to first fold up the mirror, and then a bit more to release the shutter which made it easy to hand hold longer exposures.</p>
