1.
I have not noticed the problem in my D750 but when I went to Nikon online, it said my serial number was affected. So I shipped it off yesterday. But I was going to do it anyway because of a different problem. Occasionally, the camera freezes in the middle of operation. That is, when I trip the shutter, even with plenty of battery power, nothing happens, except for an hourglass icon that appears in the monitor. Fortunately, I've been able to get past this problem by removing the battery, then reinserting it. But obviously, this is not normal and warrants attention.
I'm hoping for a swift correction to the freeze problem. And if they find a flare issue and fix that too, great. Gotta go back to my D200 in the meantime.

 2.
We've had an unusually dry winter in the Portland, Oregon area (and all of the Pacific Northwest, for that matter). I shot this about 40 minutes prior to sunrise on March 1. Flanking the St. Johns Bridge is Mount St. Helens on the left and Mount Adams on the right.

 3.
Stiff winds combined with frigid temperatures to create surreal, ice landscapes around the waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge last week. I'm posting three images, one of each waterfall I photographed. Here is Lower Latourell Falls.

00d3KJ-553865984.jpg.7123a20f205df7dc70e1b7d58ceed028.jpg

 4.
Been a while since I've posted here. Was privileged to witness a glorious sunrise on Nov. 8 that included Mount Hood, fiery sky and treetops poking through fog blanketing the Sandy River Valley (Oregon). #1 is a color version captured about a half-hour before sunrise. Noise from my 8-year-old camera is higher than I'd like but I think the shot is passable.

00cxgC-552606884.jpg.4060c2a39290fb304e39ddae597e12f8.jpg
