I was quite pleased with this shot. What do you think?

Not sure which category it fits into...

The background blur is highly artificial looking and distracting. You can't easily make up for a camera/lens with inadequately narrow DOF by using software.. The uneven blurring pulls my eye because its unnatural.

Shame as the ligthing of the face is nice and its a good subject.

Shot straight into the sun on 35mm film using my Tamron SP17mm manual

lens. Can digital do this? The original shows alot of detail due to

the very fine grain of ACROS. I liked it for the ribbon light and the

slightly unwordly view, but I'd be interested in your views - does it

work for you? Thankyou.
