1.
Hi, so I just got a Sears 135mm F2.8 Macro Fd breech-lock lens. Pretty cool and I can deal with the issue at $10. Anyways, upon mounting it seems that the lens is stopping down to F4. I suspect this because as I go down the aperture count, there's no real change between F16 and F22. I've also included a youtube video demonstrating the problem:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5DnN0e9_es

If anyone has any suggestions on how I could solve the problem that'd be great.
On a possibly related note, the "F2.8" on this lens is pretty terrible. I don't know if it's related to the stopping down issue, however. At wide open (so, f4), the lens can't get anything sharp, end of story. I've included some photos, one at f2.8, one at f4 and one at f5.6. It should be fairly obvious which is the f2.8. Otherwise, this lens is great. I love the grippy design and relatively low weight. Length is about average. And it has macro ability hooked up to a "separate lens" in the front which you focus separate if you want to "turn it on." It's made in Korea so I'm guessing it was made by Samyang back in the day. Again, for $10, I'm happy with it, but would love to gain full use of the f2.8. Thanks!
