Comments are welcome! This was shot at the Smithsonian live butterfly exhibit.

Comments are welcome. How can I improve this photo. It's of the lab I
work in, so i can always redo it. Thanks!

Hi!
I like this one better than the one with the girl. Here the lighting gives a better effect. Also in this one the books are less defined, and I did not concentrate on them. In the other image, the way the books are set up, are distracting and more prop like, rather than giving it the "up to her eyes in work" effect. But then again, I am no portrait expert.

Nice contrasty subject.
I think the lighting could be much better on the left side. You have a naturally contrasty subject, why shadow the left side?
I also think the amp only detracts, I feel the guitar solo, would be nicer.

I am more of a Nature guy, but this is stunning. Photographs like these make me want to try my hand at this. 7/7

Hi.
I like the first one better. I felt there is more to see, my eye roved around and looked. The tighter one seemed much more static.

I like this a lot, and the first thing I wondered was how it would look in BW. So I tried it. I toned down the greens and some of the blue.

Hi there,
I love the colors you captured, but I don't like the distracting background. The eye kind of travels between the subject and background. In this case it might be hard to photoshop it out because of the reflection.
This just reminds us how important it is to notice your background when making the shot :).

I feel you saturated this image a touch too much. I would dial it down a bit. I like the depth and the feeling of expanse, but the colors seem too artificial.

These birds seemed surprised at the frozen water!

It would be trivial to add a blue sky background here. Did you purposely leave it white? I feel it overpowers the building.

Adjusted exposure and vignetting.

I loved the peacefullness here. Slightly adjusted saturation with Bibble.
