Robert, this image was shot right around 9:00pm on August 18th
1/160 sec @ f13 using a Nikon 500mm f4 ISO 200 on a D300.
If i remember correctly,( i don't have the original in my work 'puter, this image is just resized , but not cropped.

I was out shooting for a bit today, when i came upon these two strange
Log mates. A Great Blue heron, and a Painted turtle.
Maybe the Heron was more interested in me, and didn't pay too much
attention to the turtle, who knows.
Well anyway, comments and critiques are always welcome, and as
always, thanks for looking.
Cheers

Here's another photo from my trip to Teton NP, Wyoming over this past
summer.
A bison, being, well, a Bison with weeds in his fur mixing in around the
sage brush.
C & C are always welcome.

This guy was hangining around my house over the weekend, and he let
me takes some shot of him with my new Nikon D700.
Not sure what kind of spider this is, and i wish i had a bit more DoF, but
nothing a little more practice can't handle.
It still gives me the "willys"
Thanks for looking.

Thanks Leroy and Rejith.
I do like the brightness of the greens in your version Leroy. I'm gonna work on that adjustment next.
Thanks again for your input.

Chris,
Thanks for your comments. the short answer, is Yes..to both.
I kind of like the lower right hand corner brush, as it helps kind of frame the mountain relection in my view, so i would like to keep it there, but in Lacey's edit with cloning out the small brush piene in the left, i think that helps alot.
It is distracting.
And Lacey, no i don't mind at all. Thanks for your input and cloning idea.
I have a very bad habit of rushing my edits. That, coupled with a lack of working knowledge of PS Elements 6 really limits me as to what i'm doing. This is why this is more or less an experiment. But the more i look at this, the more i like this better than the color version, as you are right, it does show the contrast, and "depth" ikn the mountains better.
Thanks to both of you for great advice!
