i wouldn't trust any meter for exposures longer than 1 sec. just use you brain and bracket.

i recently sold a 500c/m, 80, a-12 back and 45 non-metered prism for $650 on ebay. that's all i could get.

it can be a crapshoot finding a good one.

because he will not have a slide to put back after each intermittant shot like i do, just insurance, no more, and it's harmless and cheap. if i'm shooting continuously i leave the slide out and don't bother with tape (i never taped before, my seals are good), but he's not going to have a slide for several days.

yes, if the light seals are good, put some electrical tape on the gap just to be sure.

wow, what a bunch of ocd people. i use my breath and my shirt tail for the filters and save the micro cloth for the yearly or longer cleaning of my lenses.

i have dof preview on my nikon f2, never used it in practice, the screen got too dark and half of the center prism blacked out making focussing difficult.

try tri-x at 400-800 and d-76 1:1 for 8-10 minutes at 20c/68f, it's what i use.

try 95% ethanol.
