Thank you for your help! I should i of said in the earlier post, I will be trying to pose the 5 children together. That's why I am having a hard time coming up with poses.

So I have booked a photo session for 5 children and I am stuck on poses. I was hoping that someone could help! My problem is that 3 of the babies aren't even a year yet! Their ages are 8 years, 2 years, twins that are 8 months, and a 3 month old.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

This is taken with my my sb800.
Not a horrible snapshot for my sons photo album! But no where near the quality I am looking for! Not portrait material. The picture is so grainy.
Are you able to see the shooting data?
f/5.6
1/200
ISO 3200 (prob why its so grainy?)

This second picture is taken with shutter 1/100.

I was wondering if anyone can help me here. I will be taking swim portraits. My son is on a swim team and they found out I am a photographer and asked me to take their swim portraits before the holidays! I feel like I am in a little over my head! I know how hard it is to get the lighting right inside by a pool! I was taking some sample shots yesterday to see if i can do this with one sb800 and the pictures were coming out horrible! I couldn't get the lighting right. the ceilings are so high so the bounce doesn't help. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I will be doing individual shots and a team photo.
Also I have a nikon d80 (looking to upgrade soon), 18-135mm nikkor lense, sb800 (with bracket), also have alien bees but I assume they can not go near the pool.
I was thinking to get some reflectors. But I am not sure even where to place them.
I have a couple weeks to figure this all out!
Thank you for any help!

I became a fan!
I do understand what you two are saying....when I show my clients their portraits I have them go to my personal website! But it is a nice way to get cliets since there is an abundance of people from all over the world on there!
there is my facebook if you would like to become a fan.

I use Facebook more to keep in tough with people and to gain business than phot sharing! It's like free advertising...almost! I do put my person website up on Facebook for people to go to who are interested in having their portraits taken as well as my e-mail. You wouldn't believe how many new clients I have gotten since I made this account!

I do have 2 north facing windows that I have been using.....I was just hoping to get something a little more dependable (lack of a better word). Here is something I have done w/the north facing window...

I am thinking of getting lighting and I am undecided on what to get...softboxes, strobes, or more sb800s. I have
a nikon d80 and a sb800. so far this has been fine but I know more lighting will make for better portraits! so
my question is what does everyone reccomend? I am shooting in a small area so would it just be easier to get a
couple more sb800's with some umbrellas or would something else work better?
Thanks for any input!

Yes I have looked into ifp3 also. Its seems like every place has its pros and cons...I wish there was a perfect site haha.

Am I able to add the photocart to my PN website (of course I would have to make it look nicer!)?
-
Where would I get my own webspace and a domain name? I assume through comcast? does that sound right?

Does anyone know of any GOOD sites that will host and sell my photos. I do mostly portraits but I do have a
wedding (a family member) coming up.
I have tried smugmug but when i ordered photos from there I wasnt too happy with the quality of the prints.....I
ordered i bunch of different sizes and papers to see what they looked (and felt) like and to see how it would be
packaged. I wasnt too happy that it said smugmug all over the packaging....I would rather package it myself if
thats what I need to do to not have another companies name all over my products! And also there were lines
through the prints...which too my is a big no no! Although I did like the fact that in the shopping cart the
customer can crop their pictures...i thought that that was very convienent.
I was looking at BLUdomain. But I dont want to sign up for it until I see how they set up their shopping carts.
If anyone has them, can I take a look at yours?
I also belong to Collages but only signed up "per event" and I havent used them yet...if ever. I didnt know if
I could make a website through them or not so I havent really tried!
Anyways I am looking for a site that has client proofing, a shopping cart, a place to display some of my work.
It isnt nessesary for the site to print the pictures...I would like to see them before my clients see them! But
if they do than that is fine too!
Hopefully someone can help me out.
Thank You
