  1. I recently purchased a clean Pentax 645N body; I added a Pentax 45-85 lens from KEH. So far, I've shot two rolls of film with good results; exposures are fine and the correct information is printed in the film edge. I do have an odd problem: Most of the time, I'll compose the shot, the autofocus will do its thing, I'll fire the shutter and the film will immediately advance to the next shot. Every so often, however, the camera will hang (and the mirror not return) after the shot for a two-count or so before advancing the film. It's almost like the shutter is hanging, save that the exposure comes out correctly. It does this indoors or out, with flash or without. I've just cleaned the battery box contents (no corrosion that I can se) with a pencil eraser, then swabbed with a little 91% alcohol. I then installed all new Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries and ran a scrap roll of film through the camera. Same thing. Is this a common issue with the 645N? Is it safe to keep shooting with the camera? Can I ignore the occasional hang?
  2. My darkroom has been in heated, dry storage in my basement since 2008; I'm told it's time to let go and find it a new home. Includes: Super Chromega D5 enlarger with dichroic head and Chromegatrol Beseler PM-2 color analyser Philips PCS-130 enlarger with Philips color analyser Polaroid MP-4 copystand with lights Many spare parts, lenses, etc. Homemade stainless steel sink (not wet darkroom, but...) HP Z3100PS pigmented color printer for up to 44-inch wide media. Printer worked when put into storage in 2014, but needs cleaning and new capping station. If I post it for free, no one will be interested. So let's say $79 for everything. Pickup only in West Des Moines, Iowa (50266) Hope all of this finds a good home.
