1.
Hello everyone. I need a little help chosing a new monitor for photo processing. I determined to buy an EIZO monitor as the lab i print uses EIZO, and i guess i will get closer results for my prints. I am looking for 24 inch monitor or even better a 27 inch. depending on the price always, whicj\h I want to limit as low as spossible. Is there any monitor qualified for photoworks, may it be an older version, an 27 inch, not exceeding 700 euros ?
24 inches will do if I do not find a suitable 27 inch monitor at that price rangw
with regards

www.constantin.gr

I stumbled upon an image taken by Andrea Joki, it is the Photoshop effect that I am after, displayed at http://www.designaglowblog.com/?p=702
the title is “ Version 1 Sultry”. A layermask is used and the highlights are selected, after that the layermask is inverted, and that is something I can not achieve. Can anyone help me with this look?

 3.
I was thinking of
Western Digital -Caviar Green 1TB HDD (32MB Cache, Sata, WD10EADS)
as a technician told me that drives with high rpm tend to fail easier htan those with 7200 rpm
I will use a ssd drive for my windows, and use a different drive for all my other software.
then I will have a drive as WORKING GROUND - and do a double back on two Western Digital -Caviar Green.

I also heard that Sapphire's 5870 is supporting Directx 11.

Is that really necessary for Photoshop and Lightroom - running simultaneously ?

Is 12 Gb to much ? and is even the quad core to much?

 5.
Hello. I intend to buy the i7-920, I need a suitable motherboard, and a Graphic card, probably the Sapphire 4890 Vapor x 2Gb, or the former 4870 2Gb + RAM DDR3 - Do not care about Overclocking as I need them for Photoshop and Lightroom, Heard that vista and 64 bit is the only way to reach12Gb , do not no though if any system without OC can surpass 8Gb. Anyway which motherboard do you suggest and which grapic card?
What I do now is that my set up has to be tripple channel.
Will the CPU recognize the 12Gb RAM ?
Is Intels motherboards more suitable than Assus P6T SE ?
Is RAM at 1333MHz

 6.
I guess Pocketwizards it is, as I need a transmitter tranceiver for my 580EXII as well, altough the cost is high, I heard that Canons transmitter is not that good. and I can probably not use Hensels transmitter for my Speedlight as it can't receive its signals. Pocketwizard, right ?

 7.

Is it possible to use the MicroSync Digital 4 Channel Radio Slave and a Monoplug Receiver on a 5D to trigger my off camera 580EXII speedlight ? I would also like to know if they are compatible with my Hensels Expert PRO 500 Plus that already have built in radio tranceiver ? And is it possible to use the MicroSync transmitter from my 5D to trigger the strobe mentioned ? With the help of the tranceiver ?

 8.
Things are clearer for me now. Thanks for taking time explaining. I did not know that lenses had a better/worse focal performance, altough I had heard in the pas tabout their aperture performances.
And, tripod it will be, when such an occasion appears again.
Thanks

 9.
No, I wanted a minimalistic look to my theme. I wanted it exactly as you saw it. But ! I wanted more resolution. (I shot at f/11 at least) with 100 ISO. but I believe that my 24-70 L lens was capable, but maybe i needed a 17 Mp Canon body, to print on a canvas with, a 1.5 meters width.
Do you agree with that ?

 10.
Truth is that I prefer the 70 to 200F2.8L IS but the price range, it quit a distance for me at the time, cant decide, I need the telephoto for outdoor mainly. I have an image in my gallery taken at a field and a mountain in the background, having the couple walking towards a tree... unfortunately I can't make an enlargment as my 24-70L lens and my Canon 5D didn't allow for better resolution and enlargement. Could have used a 70-200f4 there.

00Rzkq-103231584.jpg.018d4c09a85878f4f65be1797e77c6f5.jpg

 11.
I found two lenses that I consider, the "EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS USM for SLR Cameras " and the "EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM for Digital SLR Cameras" the first lens, is it not suitable for a digital camera ? I intend to use it for my 5D camera.
I am a photographer shooting mainly weddings, perhaps it is odd for a wedding photograpger to use a 100-400 lens for a wedding, but still !
With regards.

 12. I have a question. I own two Hensel 500 PRO plus, I was thinking of getting a generator and or battery for them for location photography, I friend of mine told me that there is an issue concerning the number of flashes you can get from a battery before it gets low on power ? Which brand would be the better one, giving the most flahes at say full power ?
 13. Terry and Dan, thanks. One more thing, the manual for my speedlight says that ETTL wont work with type B cameras, trying too find out if my 400D is a type B camera. thing is that I did turn it over to TTL and the results were quit better. perhaps that was the solutions, but I am reading your links as we speak.
