  1. Just two minor points. First, I don't think you have to worry about fogging film by removing the lens without the dark slide in the magazine. The CM (and all 500 series bodies, I believe) have a "barn door" set of shutters that cover the film except while the shutter release is pressed. So once you release the shutter after the exposure, even if you haven't wound the film yet, the barn doors close to protect the film. This is necessary because the mirror itself doesn't seal out light from either the lens opening or the finder screen when it's down.

    Second, I always made it a point to have a second dark slide in my camera bag. This invoked the principle that if you have a spare you won't need it, and I found that worked for me. They're not very expensive (well, not by Hasselblad standards anyway) and are cheap insurance.
