  1. Why all the fuss? You can even sign up and move to your own page in a very slow, smooth, almost sexual way, when you start with plfoto.info.Well this is ridiculous, intolerable, and makes me feel more sick than the previous days."Paradise lost"is my most recent submission(?),on Feb 12th.You can a leave a comment there.I just can't stand anymore sitting here and reading all that happens.
  2. I'm sure the FBI and the CIA are doing a good job on servers, either Chinese or not.Let us be more careful in future.

<p>Two months ago,I've been telling Josh, that a lot are downloading our job here to serve their clients, make CDs and DVDs for tour operators and the like and asked him not to allow right click on our images.

He answered that this useless and that HE can download any image where right click is not allowed.I can't.And this is where communication stops.Period(quoting Dennis).

  3. James.

5D is my first choice and unless its price wasn't kept so high for such a long time,I would have bought it,although I rarely go out and shoot, only for my,and PN friends, pleasure.I'll email you, when I have made a decision, and I'll be happy if you can tell me which successful adapters you have bought, because I've heard about short-circuits etc.My range is from 25mm Distagon to 200mm Tele Tessar, plus an MNP 20/3,5.

    Many thanks for your answer.

  4. Since Canon EOS lenses forum is really immense,I would like to post my question

to anyone who has had experience on using MF C/Y Zeiss lenses on a Canon DSLR

body via an adapter.I already have read about various manufacturers, infinity

    focus problems,manual metering,pain in lens change,dust entering CCD/CMOS etc.

Since a have a range of 7 lenses not for sale, and I virtually shoot almost only

landscapes, see portfolio, and knowing good L Canon zooms are a very expensive

series to built,my question is:is it worth it buying an expensive EOS full frame

body just to use these lenses?Non clearly visible variations of accutance in MTF

diagrams, are not my target, thus,I really don't care if 10 lines per mm is all

the difference one can see.I would attack everyone on this 20-30 yers ago,but

today my point is original composition and use of light, and not the slight

differences in lens input quality.Thank you.

  5. My suspect is also moisture condensation, because, you're talking about sunrise, not sunset. You take the camera in room/car temperature, put it out,and until it gets "used to" relatively lower temperatures, condensation occurs. It may even be a CCD problem. We all are accustomed, sorry few old men I mean, with this in our film cameras.Either the lens,or the viewfinder( mirror as well)gets condensed when you take out of the car a camera in low temperatures. So my advice is to stay out for a while and allow the camera/lens reach the environment's temp.
  6. Marios,it's midnight here in Athens, and all I can see is darkness. All around me.You started a big discussion on art. There are countless books, thousands of authors and millions/billions works of art.For me it's the natural aptitude of humans to creation,a phenomenon that appeared 30 thousands years ago.Time evaluates human creations with a completely different way than in the era in which a work of art was made. There is no common outlook among the writers,no holistic, neither theoritical, nor philosophical approach in art.In India there were ritual written rules which sorted out any work of art.In China, where an immense philosophy created an aesthetic ideal, there were also various minor and independent artists who caused a lot of reaction. There are artists all over the world, that mould new aesthetic theories, because their transcendence exceeds modern rules,or simply does not obey them. It's a mistake to interpret art on a basis of historical, technological, social,or economical database, because artworks constitute autonomous branches of thought.Erst Gombrich is right to comment that 'art feeds from art'. Excuse any mistakes,my eyes are too tired to correct my text on a PC screen.
  7. I have a range of Contax/Zeiss lenses,AE&MM from the 80's used on film C/Y

bodies(RTS flange).I see there is a growing number of adapters on the web to fit

these lenses on Canon digital bodies.I shoot mainly landscape,so speed is not my

target.Quality comes first for me.I don't want to spend more than 700-800USD by

now.Any suggestions on pros and cons?
