<p>Dear experts and is there any one has been to Yellowstone during winter time? Sorry for all the last minutes trip planning and it will be greatly appreciate if you can give us any feedback or suggestion… We have party of 2 and will travel between 12/24 and 12/30 and following is our preliminary itinerary.<br>
<strong>Option 1</strong>:<br>
12/24: Evening flight to Bozeman. Get rental car and overnight @ Holiday Express Bozeman West.<br>
12/25: Leisure day. Overnight @ Super 8 Gardiner.<br>
12/26: Snowmobile day tour to Lake Yellowstone/Grand Canyon by Yellowstone Year Round Safaris. Overnight @ Overnight @ Super 8 Gardiner.<br>
12/27: Leisure day. Overnight @ Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel & Cabins.<br>
12/28: Early morning self drive to northern range and Larmar Valley. Will join ranger program “Mammoth Snowshoe Discovery Upper Terrace” at 2PM. Overnight @ Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel & Cabins.<br>
12/29: Snowmobile day tour to Old Faithful by Yellowstone Year Round Safaris. Overnight @ Super 8 Gardiner.<br>
12/30: Afternoon flight back home.<br>

12/29: Self drive to northern range and Larmar Valley. Overnight @ Super 8 Gardiner.<br>
12/30: Afternoon flight back home.</p>
<p><strong>Question 1</strong>: So far we can only reserve OF Snow Lodge the night of 12/27. Is just one night stay still worth the extra money spend since no matter what you have to pay twice on the transportation and doing the same visiting due to the same route. Or we should save OF area plus Jackson Hole/Grand Teton to the next winter visit (though we don’t know when :p) and concentrate these 5.5 days on the north side plus a day snowmobile tour to OF and another day to the Canyon.<br>
<strong>Question 2</strong>: Is midsize car good enough to drive between this particular route (Bozeman- Gardiner-Mammoth-Larmar Valley) at the end of December?<br>
<strong>Question 3</strong>: Is Cooke City/Silver Gate area worth a visit or even overnight stay or just a day trip to northern range/Larmar Valley will be good enough?<br>
<strong>Question 4</strong>: Regarding Larmar Vallet wildlife, will you recommend self drive or better join the guided tour?<br>
<strong>Question 5</strong>: Has anyone ever used Yellowstone Year Round Safaris (http://www.yellowstoneyearroundsafaris.com/) before? Can’t find any feedback on any chat forum and our choice is very limited since our travel will based on the north.</p>
