I have a D50 with 3 Nikon batteries. These batteries discharge quickly. Why I do not know. My son

borrowed it (the camera) and said something is wrong with the batteries. I guess they all 3 could be bad

but find that hard to believe. I thought it was the mode it was used in but he says no. Got any ideas?

Well since I am only a beginner I have had the same problem with my D50. I finally gave up

on it but it does have something to do with the lens involved and how much light. Other than

that I have wound my dial until I thought it might fall off.

I have been told that if I am not taking at the far end of the zoom I should shut the vr off on the lens and

the photos will be sharper. I have always left mine on and I get tack sharp pictures so I'm wondering what

the point to shutting it off would be?

The screen is totally black athough it takes pictures and they are on the SD card. I cannot view them on

the camera. Is this a trip to Nikon?

For some reason I am unable to get my D50 to show the histogram. It has in the past but not now. Have I

turned off something by mistake that would have caused this? It does not come into view with the cursor

on the back of the camera.

I don't quite understand the difference between TTL and TTL-BL.......manual says when you have it on

TTL-BL the whole frame will light up as well as the background. I do not find this happening. Seems when

I use it nothing is well lit up. Maybe you can shed some light (tehe).
