I have a D7000. When I use my SB800 and the "U1" (which was set by me) setting on my camera I get a good flash picture. When I move the dial to the same settings on "M" I get a black photo. I can't figure out if I am doing something wrong or there is something faulty with the camera. When I put the SB800 on my D300 it works fine with the same settings. Ever since I got the camera the flash has acted weird on this camera. By that I mean every once in awhile it just fires without me touching it. Something just does not seem right. Any ideas?

I've never had a problem with the SB800 and my Nikon D300 but with my Nikon D7000 the colors are way too warm when flash is selected in the menu. Hand to change and go to Auto. Anyone else use this flash with a D7000?

You need Lightroom 3.3 for Nikon D7000.

I have the Nikon D7000 with the kit lens attached. Why am I unable to choose various focus points. All I get is 11 points and 39 points. Is it because of the lens?

I have only had it 2 weeks. I do not have another body but my son has a D300 also and I will try it on his camera before sending in.

I have been trying to use this lens with little success. I've seen others use it with success but I can never get much in focus. I've played with the aperture, shutter speed, iso a SB800 flash and still not getting many keepers. I keep thinking something is wrong with this lens. I have a 17-55 and 70-200 and have no problems with them on my D300. It is probably user error but I am frustrated with this lens. Any suggestions would be helpful.

What I am trying to say is when I set the shutterspeed while in the "Manual" mode it moves to another setting when I move the camera around. In "Manual" mode shouldn't the shutterspeed stay where you put it until you dial in a different number?

I have a Nikon D300. At the moment it has a Nikon 17-55 attached. My question is why when I have it in "Manual" mode does the shutterspeed change from where I set it. Have I got something set wrong in the menus?

I would like to know why in many articles I have read that when taking photos of fish in aquariums the fish need to face to the left? Why
does it matter? You will find this to be true if you look at photos in brochures, books, etc. I am not a pro and I would like to know the
reason for this. Thanks for helping.

Anyone know of a layout program for the Mac similar to Luma Pix...FotoFusion which is unavailable for the Mac.

When taking photos with a D300 and a SB800 and a moderately lit room I never quite know if I
should use TTL or TTLBL on the flash. People tell me TTBL but I find the photos somewhat
underexposed with orange tones.

I have an excellent copy of this lens. It is great for kid events and such. You never know when
you might need a little reach. I also have a 17-55mm, 28-70mm, 85mm and a Sigma 10-20.
My 18-200vr is in need of repair, the barrel sticks now and then. It is going in for repair
because I'm taking it with me to Disney World at Christmas time.

I recently used my D300 and the onboard flash. After taking about 25 pictures the camera would no
longer take a picture. I waited about 2 minutes and then it resumed taking photos. What would be the
cause of this? I'm sure it should be able to buffer several pictures.

Is there a sample release form that people use for using with photos taken to places like Costco, Walmart,
Target for printing?

My pictures are overly saturated and I don't know why. The camera is set on standard, not vivid. Pictures
were taken with internal flash.

Here is another new granddaughter taken with a D300/SB600/28-70mm

Get a Gary Fong Light Sphere with orange dome. This will take away the orange walls in
churches and halls.

I noticed today that my mirror lock was up on my D50. Does this cause any problems with taking photos?

I've made excellent books with iPhoto through Apple. I mainly make birthday books for my
grandchildren. A little something to keep as the years pass by.

I am never sure what metering for the background means. I am too much of a novice. My
D50 has taken some wonderful pictures but because of my lack of knowledge where
sometimes the faces will be blown because of partial sun on them. So what does metering
for the background mean? Point the camera to the background and press the shutter button
half way and then focus on the subject? With small active children sometimes you loose the
moment when you are fiddling around with settings.

I have a Nikon Coolpix S4 with the same problem. It means a trip to Nikon for repair. Yours is
probably not out of warranty yet so pack it up and mail it. I hardly believe mine is worth
repairing.
-
Well my D50 does so look in your manual for it.

Not much is said about this lens. Is it because it is old, costs too much, or is heavy? Takes pretty flawless
pictures but it is heavy to pack around.
D7000 Occasionally does not fire...

On occasion my D7000 will not fire. I mostly use manual but on occasion will put it on auto for quick photos. On auto it shows me that is focusing but will not fire. Like the whole camera is dead but the camera is on and the menus can be read. The camera just does not fire. If I turn it off and leave it for awhile I can turn it back on and it is like nothing ever happened.
