Which is why I believe they are a Quality dealer. Tricia didn't state what dealer she was working with (could be B&H) and I didn't want her to think that B&H was trying to rip her off by offering both versions. It's not wrong to do, as long as they are up front about it, like B&H. Mostly I just wanted to point out the possiblity of warranty issues. Even quality dealers like B&H sell a US and an "Imported" version. The imported version is a couple of dollars less, but watch out for warranty coverage issues. I have seen other posts stating the "imported" camera's warranty will not be honored by US service locations. I can't tell you if there is an actual difference in the hardware\firmware.

The main reason I joined was to get constructive criticism and improve my photo technique. Since so few people leave constructive comments I count on the average ratings to differentiate between what is good and what is not and then try to figure out why it is good or not on my own if no comment was left. If the rating system is not only open to poor anonymous ratings (both high and low) but is also biased toward higher ratings, what?s the point of requesting a critique? If I just want to show off an image, I can upload it, send the link to all my family and friends, and they?ll tell me how great it is no matter how bad it may be. I didn?t pay for a membership to pat myself on the back, I know I can improve my skills and get better, but I need good comments and a reasonably accurate rating system to get the most out of this site.
