This was one of my initial shots of the same tree. When the Milky Way was visible we walked around the trail counter clockwise to face north towards the Milky Way. Thanks for liking this too. Regards! - Lester -

Yes, hardly this place is photographed at ground level. It so happened that the water level is low at this time and shows more ground than usual. Thanks -LESTER

For this particular I would not know how old this is. But as you know they cut a tree across and count the number of concentric lines to determine age.Very fascinating structures really. Regards - LESTER -

Gail, the heat was another factor to contend with. I thought of taking advantage of the harsh lighting condition by trying to make the shadows an integral part of the image. Thanks!- LESTER -
