1.
I shoot almost exclusively off-tripod, usually street scenes, incidental portraits (handheld), lively restaurants and bars and some outdoor. I know NOTHING about using the bellows, extensions, etc. Are they only for macro and super-tight portraiture on tripods? I they practical for other uses? Real question - I simply don't have any experience with them but see them available sometimes and wonder...

Thanks!

Ben

 2.
Thank you Anthony! I would never touch her innards without absolute confidence or guidance. I was simply hoping there would be a GURU in the states who could check/clean/lube her so I could try a roll through. As I said previously, the workhorse 120 camera is a 500 (and a Rollei).

 3. Thanks Ulrik. Was hoping some more experts would chime in. Haven't spent much time on the forum before so guess I thought there would be more vocal devotees. I'll be googling the basics of lubering her up myself.
 4.
Hi everyone,

I've always shot in some form or another, from childhood to now (46 now). As soon as digital appeared I dove right in, and never thought I'd touch film again. In digital my weapons are a D800 and a G16.

Then I started picking up an old camera or two as works of art in their own right. This led to a lucky find and deal during a stop in Copenhagen on a Rolleiflex 3.5F. This one was too cool not to try a shoot. One roll through that charmer and I was smitten with medium format.
So - a bit later I also started shooting with a '71 Hassy 500 c(m). I'm loving the learning process.

Which leads me to today - I just picked up - heavily for the history factor - a functional 1600F. Functional, but a little sticky and definitely in need of some lubrication and TLC. I live in DC but spend time in NYC too. Where would you take her?

Best regards and thanks for taking the time.
Ben
