This one more to your liking? You know not every portrait has to have a full encompassing DOF right? and as for lighting a middle aged woman I very well know that it's preferable to use soft wrap around lighting, which I already used on other photos I've taken of her, for this one I tried something bold and in my opinion I think I've managed to pull it off. Next time I'll shoot with a real large aperature instead of doing it PS.

Thanks Ed, Jack and Tony. Jack I thought the same thing about a large format print, I will be printing this one on a 13X19 but a wall size would really look awesome.

I've never seen a 70mm film reel before, it's huge! if only all movies where shot on that format, like Baraka and Samsara.

This is a neighborhood cat that I've befriended 2 years ago and he's been
visiting me almost everyday since then, and I've never even given him one
bite to eat so I know he's not coming for the food, I guess he just likes my
company.

I rarely ever shoot in a studio and this is my first high key portrait, opinions

I would be there if I could my friend!

Pose is very lovely, there's a classic feel to this image that I like. It would be worth a try if you could maybe clone out the secondary catchlight on the lower half of the pupils, other than that this image is pretty much perfect to me.

Flowerpot Island

Well the last boat off the island was at 4:30pm, so yes I had to make do with whatever light I had, despite that I think the end result very pleasing.
