At worst, you can still shoot the camera even without using the battery. The default shutter speed is 1/500 of a second. I know that may not fit all of your needs, but if you do the simple math, don't mind shooting faster film, you can get good shots by adjusting your f/stop and the film you shoot so the 1/500th is what works. I know it isn't a fix for the camera, but it is a way to take photos even with the battery holder broken.

I just developed some Ilford 400 ASA film, 120 format and it came out foggy. I used the above recommendation of testing part of the film by putting it into fixer and it did clear up. I had already cut the dry film into groups of 3 frames each so I just treated each group of 3 by itself, then put it in a water bath after fixing it for about 7 minutes. Then used PhotoFlo and hung them up to dry. They look a whole lot better now. Thanks for the info. Lesson learned.

You are so familiar with what is around, you don't SEE what is there... find the unfamiliar within the familiar - it's not so easy all the time, but it can be done.

my ps80 is smooth... as is my ps150 lens. I dont have much experience with other lenses but none has ever been stiff.
