I've decided to get back into B&W work again, and am presently planning my bathroom darkroom. In order to save space, the idea of the Nova-style vertical processors is attractive, however, I'm less than thrilled with the price/construction quality of the Jobo/Nova offerings. Has anyone given any thought to building something similar from acrylic (without the temp control of course)?
<p>
My main questions are in the areas of side wall construction to keep the print from sticking, and supporting the prints. I was thinking of solvent welding some small rods to the sides, much like the ribs in a conventional tray, to solve the first problem. Using the Nova clips is an option, I guess, but has anyone come up with other ideas? Thanks

Oh, I should add that I build furniture as another hobby, so machining acrylic or Lexan is no problem for me.

You may want to consider a Sing-Ray polarizer to fit the Cokin P holder. At $100, it's as cheap as a GOOD quality screw-in, and you now have one high quality filter for all of your lenses.
