1. I once had a CL as well as a CLE and I would say that using anything faster than f4 in the 85-90mm range would be problematic. The range finder windows are closer together than you find on a full size M. If I was to use something faster than f4 I would stop down at least a stop. I have used 3 lenses faster than f4 and found that they worked best stopped down a little.
 2. You might want to see if you can find one of the Vivtar Series One Solid Cats. They were available in both 600mm f8 and 800mm f11. Both were very sharp but neither one is very light in weight. They were T-mount lenses so could be made to fie many cameras.
 3.
You might want to try a Zeiss 24mm f2.8 on your M8. Gives an equivalent to about 32 mm on a M8/M8.2. I took a long trip a few years ago and used that combo for over 90% of my shots. Used between 2.8 - 8 for most of the photos. 24 is the widest frame in the M8 without using an ext. finder. Very solidly made and very sharp for me.

 4.
I'm using a lens that is not mentioned but I find very useful. Take a look at the Sigma 24-105 f4 Art lens. Good size, fast focus, focus to under 1/2 meter, quiet. I'm using mine on a D200 as well as a D700. Save a bit of money over the Nikon 24-120 also. Using flash all of the time means that you don't have to pay for a faster lens.

 5.
I got an answer to the problem from the guys over at RRF.
Put the camera in Live View and toggle the D-ring around the Info button up or down to change the aspect ratio. I could not find this in the manual.
Hope this helps someone else.

 6.
That is what I am trying to find out. There are only two lines, not 4 lines like Nikon.

 7.
I've had my 240 M-P a few weeks now and have some nice results with it. Now I have 2 vertical lines on the screen during live view when the camera is held horizontal that are about 1/3 of the way in from each side. They stay in the same location when the camera is vertical. I don't know how they got there and don't know how to remove them. Can't find any info in the manual, (big surprise). Any one have an idea to fix this?

Thank you for any help

 8.
A 35mm Summarit is a fairly new lens so why would you go looking for an old filter? Check the threads of your lens closely as well as seeing if the front of the lens is slightly out of round. A new B&W filter should fit fine.
