I am a medium format shooter, so please bear with me in this thread. I never shot with a bellows before. I have been offered at a very nice price the above material. It is a very old grey 8x10 Ansco Studio camera, about 15lbs of weight, Rail; 29" x 11.5"; bellows frame 14"w x 18" high ; 8x10 sliding back is 18"w x 14" h. On the big lensboard (9x9), there is a Rodenstock Sironar N 360mm 6.8 mounted on a Copal 3 shutter, all speeds are just fine. I am very tempted to purchase this for a home studio.
After some research i became very confused about the 360mm Rodenstock being either a "long" lens, a "telephoto lens" or a normal lens for 8x10. This does not seem to be as straightforward as in Medium format or 35mm. Well, my questions are: Is this setup a good one for a portraiture homestudio? The camera has very limited movements, but here comes my second question: In case i take this monster to the field for some landscaping, can i focus to infinity perfectly?

Thank you Vic and Vick for all help!

Yes, i see Freestyle has the Arista film for 2.25 x 3.25 baby cameras, and it is very cheap. I am also bidding on a couple of 2x3 Grafmatic holders on the auction site. I will definitely give it a try. I have read some very nice reviews on the Kodak Ektar 101mm. Regarding the ritual of film insertion into the holder, can someone point me some link on how to do it? I have never used holders before... I am also curious about developing the 2x3 film sheet. I have a Jobo CPP2 does anyone know which Jobo drum could be used to develop these small sheets? Thanks everyone.

Thank you Vick for your kind reply. I got a 4x5 film holder today and no way it will fit. I am after a 2x3 film holder now. Or better yet, a real 4x5 press camera, preferably a Busch Pressman. So beautifully built! But 6x9...

Hi everyone. After years in Medium format photography i decided to go Large format.
Being offered a mint condition Busch Pressman at a modest price, i bought it just to discover it is actually a
disguised medium format camera (2.25 x 3.25 format). I bought it with the Pressman D in mind... It is very well built
and has a Kodak Ektar 101mm 4.5 lens in excellent shape. Shutter is fine too. As far as i understand i can use this
camera with a regular Graphic 4x5 film holder, but this Kodak lens will not cover the entire negative, am i correct?
So my question is, do i have any lens options for this camera that will allow me to shoot 4x5 sheet film ? I see the
lens board is very tiny compared to other large format cameras. Anybody been there?
