I took this some time ago and was never happy with the processing but

had another go last week.

These are my favourite conditions, mainly due to the lack of other

photographers willing to get a soaking!

Thanks Jerry for taking the time for your detailed response. Emma definitely encompases the Femme Fatale meaning of the word.

I see what you (and Michel) mean about the dark areas, and I have re edited another version of the raw which can be seen in my portfolio area. It has more detail in the shadow areas. I'm not sure if I prefer it but then again I have been working on this image for too long and need to come back for a look after a day or so avoiding it.

Sometimes I can look at an image for too long.

inexpensive studio lights and went out for a practice.

I used a texture and a vignette to darken the bright white bath and emphasise the face. Jo has quite large eyes which helps :-)

This is the lighthouse on the tiny channel island of Sark. It overlooks

Maseline harbour on the east coast.

I visited with Photo.net member Dave Clapp, who I'm sure will soon be

posting some more pictures of this wonderful island.

The composition wasn't easy as the area I'm standing in is all ferns and

gause bushes. After fumbling around for half an hour I managed to find

this spot just as the sun rose.
