Hi Beepy, not really, the background was already blurry because of the aperture, but I use ps to take away the color (which I do find distracting) and used a ps style to change this to look like a painting. I chose that style because the effect reminds me of a Chinese ink painting.

This is perfect, Michael! For an angle that should looks odd, it actually conveys a tension which seems to be leaping out of the picture.
