  2. Hello,

I was wondering when is best to visit Bagan. I woul dlike to photograph all

the Chedis in the fog. Thanks--Amy

PS. if you have some pics to show and let me know when they were taken, I

    would greatly appreciate it

  3. Hey, I am bring 500mm with one full frame camera and one X1.6. I would like

to get some advice. Should I also bring 24-75 or 24-105 and 70-200, 1.4x

extender and 16-25 or any prime?

OK this might sound stupid but I have not traveled to the USA much after 9-11

(definitely never with my 500mm); Can I carry 500mm on the plane with 2

    cameras and 3-4 lenses?

    Thanks

  4. Hey, I have been invited to a conference in Beijing. Heard it is hot and

rainy....possibly the worst time of the year. Any advice? I would like to

photograph Great Wall, the Forbidden City and a few other iconic places.

Hows the lighing during this time of year? Any direct sun light can be

    expected? Dramatic Clouds?

    Thanks so much

  5. It is my turn to pick up my Mark III this weekend. However, I now have some

doubts since there have been many problems posted.

So for those who have been using for a while (not just tested for a day or

two), do you get error, slow focusing, and camera shut down?

    Cheers

  6. Natural Sites around the golden rings are very beautiful (take whole day to do all the sites but I recommend stop for a night somewhere). Also if have time, go to Vatnajokul for the glacier. Villages along the way are really beautiful as well.

Most Importantly, Aurora Bolearis is possible in October on a clear cold night. Cheers

  7. Grady, if you need a digital camera now and 5Dfits your budget and it offers what you need, go on and buy. I dont think there is any reason why you should anticipate what Canon will offer the next year or two. 5D is an excellent camera...when Canon releases a new camera, then you can decide if you want to upgrade.
  8. Hey, i have 85 f1.2 which I use it quite a lot. I have not tried the II

version but I heard the auto focus is faster.

Now with the rabate, the upgrade seems more attractive. Any thoughts? How

about the quality of the optics with lead-free material? Compared to the I

    version?

    Thanks

  9. Hey just wondering, for those who have both lenses, which lens you use

    more.

Specifically for wild animals in yellowstone park. I am debating which to

bring. They are just so huge and heavy. Or should I bring both to not

    regret? Cheers.

  10. Hey thanks Manuel!!! I am a bit afraid that, being on the boat, I would not be able to take 10-15sec shots of the fireworks. So I may need to pick one or two locations. So perhaps I should be in Bonn on the 5th of May...? Thanks
