1.
I started using hvl-f58am with Minolta dynax 9. I notice that compared with the flash I used before ( Metz 44mz-2 ) the Sony doesn't give more times the indication of correct exposure ( 1 time about every 10-15 shots - green led blinking ). At the very beginning when this happened the flash lighted in full power. Now it lights as in Multi mode . I developed today the first 10 rolls I shooted with the flash and I saw what I expected . The shots at full power were overexposed and the shots as in Multi mode underexposed. Is this a problem with my flash unit or is there an incompatibility with Minoltas ? I read in a Minolta forum that this flash doesn't support wireless with dynax 9. My camera and lense don't support ADI.

  2.
I bought a Maxxum 9 from B and H last year at about 500 $. I think you can get much more from your cameras than $120 . B and H sells cameras like 700si at these prices. Maxxum 9 is Minolta's best camera . I am very pleased taking pictures with it . Although it is a professional model it has also a built- in flash.

  3.
I'm a minolta camera owner .I possess two

bodies of Dynax 9 ,a Dynax 7xi , two flashes

( maxxum 2500 and Metz 44mz 2) and two lenses

    (50mm 1,4 and a 28-105 f 3,5-4,5) . I'm thinking

seriously of buying the A900 at about 2300 euro (it's

the cheapest price I find here in Greece). My only

reservations is the amount of noise at high iso. I rarely

shoot over 800 iso. At 1600 and 3200 is noise a problem?

Also I have read that there are some

problems regarding exposure (eg tends to underexposure

with flash) and automatic adjustment of white balance.

Are these rumors correct ? Also o a person in

DPreview said that the viewfinder sees more than

the sensor. It would be very helpful if someone who

possess this camera can answer these questions.

  4. I started using the new tmax 100 after over 15 years using 400 iso films. I recently developed some

tmax 100 using hc 110 (dil b) at 20 degrees C and the negatives look underdeveloped compared to the

density of my 400 iso films I used in the past. May be I' m doing something wrong. I developed for 6

minutes( agitation for the first 30 seconds and then 5 seconds every half a minute) as I read in kodak's

forum. Does tmax 100 negatives have this kind of look (slightly less density) or my developing times are

wrong ? I keep hc 110 in 250ml bottles and the bottle was full before development so It doesn't pass my

mind that the developer is exchasted (I bought the original 1lt bottle 8 months ago).

  5. I own the Nikon 5000ed and I' m looking to find an easy and fast way to make index scans just to

make contact sheets . I scan in full resolusion only the images I find interesting (which are few) using

my scanner as a digital enlarger but I want to have all my pictures in contact sheets or in thumbnails

in my hard disk in order to choose which images are real interesting to scan in full resolution.

  6. I have the Nikon Coolscan 5000ed and when i scan in grayscale b-w film and save the picture on my

pictures space of the laptop and go to see the picture , the thumpnail indicating the scanned image is

not being displayed. In addition to, when i open the picture , the picture is displayed on the upper right

edge of the monitor as a thumpnail.Does anybody know why this happen ? I save the pictures on TIFF

while i open the pictures using internet explorer.
