  1. Your photos are fantastic. They are almost all in focus, you've caught emotions and the details of the day. That is the most important part. I also use a D200 and I've found that any of the Gary Fong's difusers are awesome. They really wrap the light around your subject. I photograph is RAW and it takes time to adjust to it, but its worth the effort. Also, I use the Kevin Kubota tools. I think its important to be able to understand Photoshop, but the tools make it so fast to have instant results. It will definitely define your style. You've done a great job, I'm sure that your first wedding will lead to many more!
  2. If you haven't tried RAW, you should give it a whirl. Even with just a practice shoot. It takes me around 3 hours to edit 250 - with effects and color correction. The great thing about RAW is that if you make a mistake in your exposure you can fix it. You can also really intisify the colors.
  3. I would be happy to help you out with your layout. I charge 15.00/hr for the layout artwork. I can also get the albums made for you. Please email me and let me know how many pages you would like in your album. d_mantz@sbcglobal.net
  4. I always tell my brides that family or friends can take photos to the sides of us. They cannot get infront of us, becuase it takes too much time and we have to move along. Also, I have in my contract that no other professional photographers shoot while we do. Usually if the bride sees a problem, they take care of the family. But, be sure to let them know before the wedding.
  5. I've gotten several leads and a ton of website hits by posting my site on www.wedj.com I definitely recommend signing up for their biggest package. You get a lot of exposure for the money.

If there is a free bridal booklet in your area, that's a great place to be. In Wichita, we have "Wedding Ideas" and the brides love it.

  6. I have an AA in graphic design. I took a week long wedding workshop, and it was definitely the best thing I've ever done for myself. I just did exactly what the instructor said to do. Used all the same equipment and had much sucess. Its much better than trial and error. It's also great to keep up with all the new stuff out there.
