Anyone out there have a lift for the CPE-2 that they are willing to sell?

Thanks a ton for those replies guys.

I have a Zeiss 50mm f4 C lense with no front cap. It has screw mount threads in
the front, not the bayonet style on other lenses. I can't seem to find what the
correct model is, though I no the lense takes series 63 drop-in filters (Series
VIII). Anyone no what I should be looking for?

I just got a Colortec C-41 Rapid Negative kit, and I'm trying to make the must
of the kit without wasting the chemistry and my film. First off, I'm a bit
confused about the mixing instructions, they aren't laid out too cut & dry
(atleast as I read them). How much do I mix if I am only developing 2-4 rolls?
How long will a mixture last before it is worn out? I've looked for these
answers, but can't seem to find them easily. Any help on how to use this kit to
get the best out of it would be much appreciated, than you!

I'm trying to use the self-timer to do a self portrait with a 5D, but the camera
has to lock focus prior to the timer going off, so when I try to sit where the
focus was locked and I don't get it EXACT, it looks like crap. Is there a way to
get the camera to focus at the end of a self-timer period? Anyone know how to
deal with this best? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks everyone for the input.

I'm in the market for a tripod, something that can be mounted with a Canon 5D,
battery grip, and a big ol' heavy lens. I encountered a lot of options on B&H,
seeing many different possibilities for heads, but I have no idea what I need,
and I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on a tripod if I don't have to.
Anyone have some wisdom or recommendations?

I'm trying to decide what developer to go with for B+W, D-76 or HC-110. Does
anyone have experience with either of these or both? Advantages or
disadvantages? I'm initially drawn to the HC-110 for the amount of film a small
bottle can produce, but I've also heard that it can be less forgiving than D-76
when it comes to accuracy of developing time. Your thoughts?

I'm looking to get a 2-reel tank to do some B+W developing, and I'm interested
in the Jobo two-reel tank #1520, but I'm not sure if it is appropriate for
agitation by hand. Anyone use it for this? Thanks.

I'm looking to start developing my medium format film at home instead of mailing it off to get it
processed. I'll be doing everything: B+W, C-41, E-6 (although I am thoroughly intimidated), so I want to
use a system that will regulate the temperature and be reliable and consistent. Do both the CPE-2 and
CPP-2 have circulating baths that regulate temperature? Furthermore, is the lifting arm for the CPE-2 at all
worth spending over $200 dollars on? Can the CPE-2 handle C-41 and E-6 well? I'd be more interested in
the CPP-2, but the price difference is substantial. If I went with the CPP-2, what extra features would I be
paying for.
Lastly, am I crazy for wanting to do this myself and not let myself get had by a lab and deal with slow
turnaround times? I know this is an expensive thing to do no matter how you look at it, but am I making a
beneficial decision economically?
So so many questions, thanks for fielding them.

Jobo Lift - Red Plug Question
in The Wet Darkroom: Film, Paper & Chemistry
Posted
I just installed the Jobo Lift on my CPE-2 Plus, and I just attached the tank to
see how it fit. The fit seems good, but the red plug on the front of the
processor makes contact with the tank and seems to cause noticeable friction.
The instruction say to make sure the red plug is in the "correct" position, but
fails to indicate what the "correct position actually is. Does anyone know how
that red plug should be positioned? Thanks!
