Another exmaple. What do you think?
-
I've taken to the habbit of close cropping waterfalls as opposed to trying
to capture the whole falls. In this case, my thought was that the dead
tree makes for a focal point and provides an area of sharpness to
contrast against the milk effect of the waterfall. HDR, then some PS
work.
Gibbon Falls in Yellowstone.
Comments & suggestions, please...

Maybe not a typical HDR image, but I like the way it came out.
-
I was drawn in by the bright blue shirt, simple background and the
reflection. Your thoughts and comments, please.

Filled the frame and kept your image clear of clutter. Very good. I like the crop and straighten ideas. I would be tempted to darken the bright spots on the right side. Looks like about 4 exterior lights on. By matching the lighting on these spots, you could stop their potential distraction from the form.

I carefully chose the background to contrast with the warped reflection
of the buildings. I thought the B&W treatment suited it best. Your
thoughts?

At the Decordova sculpture park in Lincoln, MA. Your comments and
suggestions, please.

the B&W version - let me know which version you like better. Also,
comments & suggestions please.

Have 2 versions of this - color and B&W. Stitched together from 17
exposures at 300mm.

Just an amazing job. Composition is eye-catching, lighting is perfect. A great find.

Maria, I agree! I have posted 2 revised versions (color and B&W). Thanks,

Thanks so much for noticing. I like your crop very much. Think I'll take your advice and try a large print with the crop. Nice portfolio yourself, an interesting mix of subjects. Regards,
Todd

Very good technique - composition & lighting are right on! Less is definitely more!
-
Nice idea and well executed. What focal length? I like the silhoutted element on the left.
-
My other option on this subject - which do you like better? This one
was taken about 20 min earlier - the cable lighting is still
overpowered by the fading sunlight, but it's nice to have some blue
in the sky? Your thoughts?
-
Nice effect, good technique. Not going to win a contest, but always fun.
-
I liked the background and thought it made a nice portrait. Your
thoughts & suggestions, please.

Taken at Old Sturbridge Village on a cloudy day. Your comments
