I've taken to the habbit of close cropping waterfalls as opposed to trying

to capture the whole falls. In this case, my thought was that the dead

tree makes for a focal point and provides an area of sharpness to

contrast against the milk effect of the waterfall. HDR, then some PS

work.

Maybe not a typical HDR image, but I like the way it came out.

I was drawn in by the bright blue shirt, simple background and the

reflection. Your thoughts and comments, please.

Filled the frame and kept your image clear of clutter. Very good. I like the crop and straighten ideas. I would be tempted to darken the bright spots on the right side. Looks like about 4 exterior lights on. By matching the lighting on these spots, you could stop their potential distraction from the form.

I carefully chose the background to contrast with the warped reflection

of the buildings. I thought the B&W treatment suited it best. Your

thoughts?

exposures at 300mm.

Very good technique - composition & lighting are right on! Less is definitely more!

Nice idea and well executed. What focal length? I like the silhoutted element on the left.

My other option on this subject - which do you like better? This one

was taken about 20 min earlier - the cable lighting is still

overpowered by the fading sunlight, but it's nice to have some blue

in the sky? Your thoughts?
