Very nice composition. It does seem a little gray to me, and you can't see the full range of white to black, but it could just be personal preference. I like a lot of contrast in black and white images. Still a great picture.

I love seeing light shining through trees. It's just perfect. I like the mystical feeling you get from looking at this. Great composition and use of light.

I see what you mean about cropping the sky. Is this any better? Yeah, there were several other shots I wanted to take from here, unfortunately the fog was so thick that this is the only shot I could snap before the fog rolled back in and everything was completely white. you can see it coming from the right side of the picture.

One of my favorite types of landscape pictures is practically

anything with the turquoise waters of the ocean. Is this biasing my

photography, or is this a good composition at all?

Goood idea about the cropping. I couldn't decide if I wanted the focus to be on the eyes or not since the feathers were so close, and I love the detail in the feathers. Good point though. Thanks.
