This is a lovely image...the duplicated symmetry works well and the colors against the black background make it all pop.  Excellent lighting as well!

This is superb...evocative of late Italian Renn paintings.  Love the overall darkness of the photo, transected by the glow of her skin through the middle portion of the image and made transcendent by the bright glow of her red hair.  There's just enough tonal variance between the fur coat and the couch to provide another layer of visual complexity to an otherwise simple composition.  I would say huzzah, well done!

I saw these devices used to break up hard pan on a recent trip into

Eastern Washington state. I was immediately struck by their

similarity to the overlapping shields employed by various cultures of

antiquity to safeguard their troops...in this case, the Norse
